Maybe they got the hint that people come to be scared by other people and not the same machines going through the same movements over and over again. This isn’t limited to just indoor haunts either. A fine example of outstanding creative talents by people who wrote the book on outdoor haunts is the Sandyland Acres Haunted Hayride and Farmers Revenge in Petersburg, Northern Kentucky. Gene and Brenda Webb combine a great acting staff with just a few animatronics (they make their own!) and over the top make-up and costumes to produce one of the best and scariest outdoor haunts this side of the Mississippi. It’s Children of the Corn meets Jeepers Creepers meets Joyride!"
