THIS IS A PERSONAL TRAVESTY ========================== My son-in-law, a citizen, born and raised in St. Louis, MO just had the following experience (SEE BELOW) when trying to exercise his civic duty & right. OF VOTING. WHY is this country so against its citizens voting? WHY does this happen? Is he punished because he is not white? There is no logical explanation for the run-around. Thank you 2014 Amerika -- -- -- -- -- -- HE E-MAILED ME: I recently moved from Denver CO to Kansas City. On September 29th I registered to vote with an individual in Parkvilles Health Dept, who asked me if I have registered in KC. I go to the poll today, wait for 15 minutes, and was told I am at the wrong location. I was also told I didnt register to vote until October 11th, which is after the deadline. She guides me to the right location (which I dont understand because Im just trying to vote). There the gentleman who tries to assists me tells me I shouldnt have registered via someone at the store and tells me there is nothing he can do. I speak to his supervisor who tells me I can do a provisional ballot. I ask her what that means and she tells me my votes may or may not count. I thought what?!! I did everything right, I dont understand how my ballot was turned in late and how my vote wont count. I dont even know why I wasted nearly two hours to try and vote. The barriers are incredible. No wonder people dont go out and vote. Its almost as though people dont want you to get your vote in. Not sure if its the way I dressed, looked, or what I said. Im wondering if anyone else are having the same results.
