GO TO cwcmaggievalley July 7th, 2013 – Sunday – 2:25 AM Paul was weak and frail, he knew his time was short, so he dipped his pen in ink and wrote: “Preach the Word…” I am bewildered at the number in the “church” that claim to be ministers who not only refuse to preach what the Bible says, but also do not want it preached to the world as the literal gospel. Paul went on to tell Timothy, “be instant in season and out of season, reprove (to scold with kindly intent), rebuke (to reprimand sharply), exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (encourage with great patience when you teach). Then he warns, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” If you are preaching a “feel good” gospel, you are not preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, thus becoming a detriment to the world and a cancer to the church. Read again the first verse, “…the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead…” Do you want to stand before the Almighty, August God with the blood of the innocent and guilty dripping from your hands (Ezekiel 33:8)? I hope not! PREACH THE WORD!!!
