THIS IS NOT ABOUT ISLAM? Why do we get reminded anytime there is - TopicsExpress

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ISLAM? Why do we get reminded anytime there is a terrorist attack anywhere in the world that it is not about Islam? It is time to deal with that hogwash too. So what is it about? Go ahead and regale me. Tell me Jihad and Kuffur mentioned by the White Widow are mean nothing in Islam. Tell me that the children-slaughtering terrorists at the #Westgate mall were after the loot. Tell me also that among their ranks were a hindu, a buddhist, an atheist, an agnostic and perhaps a few Christians, go ahead! It is not about islam. It is not about a harrem of virgins somewhere in the seventh cloud. Go on am listening. I am demanding answers today because am enraged. Whatever happened at Westgate can happen anywhere and who knows who the next victims might be? If we are going to bury our heads in the sand chanting it is not about Islam then chances are that it is going to happen again. I consider myself a very reasonable person, and I am. I even have the benefit of higher education, for whatever it is worth. But I must be honest with you, admission is the basis of cure they say. Eversince Westgate I have queasy feeling whenever I see muslims, I feel pain whenever I see their children play and am sorrounded by them. I suggest that the muslim community should do more than just offer condemnations against such attacks, I think it is time Islam did more than just deny responsibility for the attacks. It is time for Islam to reform. To teach harmony and coexistance. To weed from their midsts rogue preachers and fundamentalists, incidentally all terror groups associated with Islam are headed by religious leaders, that should amount to something. Change must come to Islam if there is going to be global peace and we cannot demand that if we continue hiding behind political correctness and chanting mantras of denial like "it is not about Islam". What the hell is it about?
