THIS IS RICH....... BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC CO. IS HAVING A COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE MONDAY APRIL 14 AT THE BRANCH LIBRARY 4330 EDMONSON AVE. FROM 6 - 8 PM TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT SMART METERS.......OH I CANT STOP LAUGHING :-O....... NOW LET ME EDUCATE YOU INSTEAD: Here is an introduction to how the SMART meter mesh network system operates– “2. How do the smart meters transmit information? Could you explain how it works? (From Florida Power and Light’s website: fpl/ami/qa.shtml#24 ) Each meter is equipped with a full two-way 900 MHz radio transmitter that sends and receives information to an access point which is also radio-equipped. New RF mesh technology expands the ability of a meter to communicate to an access point by allowing the signal to be relayed off of other meters to find a path and maintain the connection required for communications.” And for deeper understanding of FPL’s statement: silverspringnet/pdfs/whitepapers/SilverSpring-Whitepaper-WhyUnlicensedSpectrum.pdf “[The] spectrum includes the 900 MHz ISM band, extending from 902 to 928 MHz, and the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. To minimize interference, the FCC restricts the maximum transmit power for unlicensed devices and requires the use of spread spectrum technologies. 900 MHz provides superior propagation characteristics, allowing the signal to travel longer distances and penetrate obstructions better than signals at other unlicensed frequencies.” SMART meters and the rest of the mesh network grid cause health problems. The meters pulse microwave frequencies every 4-6 seconds, 9,600 times to 190,000 times per day into your living or working space. The data packets are collected and then transmitted to access points several times a day. Wi-fi is all around us already but add to it the millions more antennas being installed with the smart metering mesh network grid and the method by which they use for the data collection and communication is wreaking havoc on many people immediately. What the future holds on our long term health will be revealed. These emissions and transmissions penetrate our bodies thousands of times a day, assaulting them 24/7. 3-8% of human beings readily feel the constant battering. How long did it take before asbestos and lead were determined to be hazardous to our health? How long did it take before they were removed from our building materials, gas cans and paint cans? Over 20 years later people are still embroiled in lawsuits as a result of their exposure to asbestos. Is this what we want for our society?
