THIS IS THE CRAZIEST THING EVER. Once in a while in the newspaper,there is a list of unclaimed property held by the state of NJ, other states have it as well. I always check my last name, my ex husbands and the occasional relatives names like kuehne or reinhagen. WELL< I checked the list this year and to my suprise my name was on it. we moved last year, even though i changed addresses and had mail forwarded, i didnt know that some mail will not and cannot legally be forwarded. for instance, credit cards, county documents,etc. it is a very weird list to say the least. i filled out the documents needed and was told it could take 12 weeks. oy. i am going to receive a check from pay pal from god knows when for 123.00 and another check from something else for another one hundred dollars. i keep really good track of everything and my paperwork and affairs are in order. what a pleasant suprise. sooooooooooooooooo always check your name on the unclaimed property list.
