THIS IS THE WAY FORWARD: WE MUST ASK OUR LEADERS LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS: **WHERE IS GOKANA MODEL SECONDARY SCHOOL?*** This Revolutionary Academic project costing N4.5 billion came alive in Rivers State when Our present Distinguished Senator, Hon. Magnus Ngei Abe, was the Secretary to the Rivers State Government [SSG], while Our present Hon. Comm. for Works, Hon.Victor Giadom, was the Gokana Local Government Boss. The condition for the project was simple: the Local Government was to PROVIDE the LAND only, while the State Government was to BUILD the Structure and Equip. Down the line, RUMOUR went WILD that those responsible for the Land provision INSIST THAT THE PROJECT MUST BE BUILT IN THEIR VERY COMMUNITY,BERA or NOWHERE. I repeat, RUMOUR. I personally followed up the matter based on the above Rumour and these emerged: 1. “I can say a land has been aquired and payed for @ Kagior Bera for this purpose, contractor was already on site to grade de land, Mr. Temple kpee was made CLO on site, sign post mouted on de road.”---Patrick Badom,3rd April,2013.to Gokana Youth Council**** 2. Sometime in 2013, a former Gokana Councillor, Hon. Sakage Dornu said: On the modern secondary,most of the area acquired are swampy and this now raise the cost of the project.The state Govt. say no, so new area hv being acquired and the contractor will soon mobilize to site. 3.This is the latest position on the matter: GokanaYouth Council: “..On the issue raise on the Gokana model secondary school, Senator Magnus Abe said the Gokana LGA and Khana LGA. Model school contract was issued to a private firm who agreed to build the schools and furnish it then be refunded by the state Government, a memorandum was reached but somehow the contractors fails. But the commissioner of works Chief Victor Giadom has promised that the next face will commence soon. So He Pleaded that look forward for a better thing soon.”-Sunday,29/12/13. THE CARDINAL QUESTIONS NOW ARE: 1. What is the Name of the PRIVATE FIRM which agreed only to build the Schools and Furnish them in Gokana and Khana contrary to the laid down process relating to the Project??? 2. WHO IS or ARE the Owner or Owners of the said Private FIRM which “somehow FAILED”??? 3.WHEN IS THE PROMISE OF HON. COMM. for Works COMING to PASS. This Administration is Winding UP already or soon. I HOPE THIS N4.5 Billion project is not another Kpopie/Bodo Road, which We learnt was awarded to a CATERING Company, which has ended in the DEATH-Trap that we now have…. Who are those that did this to us as a people???????? DO WE KNOW WHAT N9BILLION IS????????????????????????
