This review is from: On My Enemies Wall (Kindle Edition) I have to admit I couldnt connect with the gang aspect of this book in the beginning simply because I know nothing about the inner workings of any gang. Putting that aside and reading about Iysis upbringing and lifestyle choices helped me to understand why she does what she does. Having been brought up with a sense of loyalty to not only her aunt and cousin who are affiliated but also to an OG named Bear who gives her a sense of security Iysis quickly rises in rank but as most find, with more power comes more trouble. Her trouble is magnified by the fact that shes a female in a game where men want to be supreme. Iysis finds herself going against the rules to attain a status few woman have held but in the midst she finds herself caught up in a situation that now has her on the run from her own set and the only person who can help is someone she later finds out has unknowingly betrayed her. Will Iysis accept the help and walk away to live another day or will she risk it all, including her life for revenge? This book was a great debut novel, this author is one to watch.
