If you dont want see the Rochdale ( and possibly the Croft Corners Fire Company CLOSED) you must vote for Pete. Vote Pete Valdez Arlington Fire District Commissioner ****** A vote for Pete will assure paramedic and ambulance services will be maintained, fire stations will not close, and children’s fire prevention programs will be maintained. ****** Pete’s platform: * Keeping the Ambulance/Paramedic/EMS services we now have. * Keep all 4 Arlington fire stations open. * Maintaining fire prevention programs in the schools. * Maintain fire and EMS training for members. * Pete has been on the Board of Fire Commissioners ( BOFC) for 5 years and has kept the budget increase to less then 2 % cap every year. * Pete is an Investment banker and is experienced in financial management of Fire District funds. * Pete worked with BOFC before Commissioners Beretta and Armstrong joined the board for a 3 year extension to the union contract with 2 years with 0% pay increases and the last year with only a .5 % increase. They also agreed to a major change in the medical/dental benefits to save $’s Not voting for Pete may mean you may lose the current ambulance and paramedic services you now receive. Pete’s opponent, if elected, will work with commissioners Beretta and Armstrong to possibly close fire stations, cut fire prevention and outsource EMS services to a “for profit” ambulance service which will charge for what you now get as part of your taxes.
