THIS MONS FR YORKSHIRE..... DEFINATELY....! There was this Yorkshireman called Bert Ecklethwaite, and he was a painter and decorator of little repute. He used to thin his paint down to make it go further, so as to make a few bob more on the job. Hed gotton away with it for years in his village. Anyway, it happened that the church in a nearby village were looking to restore and repaint the outside of said church. The committee decided to put the job out to tender. Bert put a quote in, and won the job, so set about erecting scaffolding, setting planks, and buying the paint.... and yes, sorry to say, he even thinned down this paint so it would go a long way. Well, Bert was up the scaffolding and happily painting away until the job was almost completed, when suddenly there was an almighty clap of thunder and the clouds burst open, and it started raining like a raging storm had let loose. It poured down and started to wash Berts paint off the walls, as it hadnt yet dried properly, and also knocked Bert off the scaffold and on to the lawn, amongst the old gravestones, and was now surrounded by puddles of his thinned down paint. Bert was no fool, and realised that this was a judgement from The Almighty, so he got on to his knees and cried.... Oh God, Oh God forgive me... What should I do..? And from the thunder a mighty voice boomed back...... (youll love this) Re-paint..!, Re-paint..!, ... And thin no more..!! .
