THIS MORNING I READ THAT A WOMEN a Whistleblower informed the authorities of atrocious conditions and behaviour at an old peoples care home where 5 people died of neglect. Her reward - no company in the care home industry will offer her a job. MY SOLUTION - ARREST THE DIRECTORS AND MANAGERS FOR NEGLIGENT MANSLAUGHTER NOW - PUBLICLY. I WOULD THEN SAY TO THE REST OF THE CARE HOME INDUSTRY - WE ARE COMING FOR YOU AND WILL DO THE SAME - YOU WILL BE ARRESTED AND TRIED FOR ANY WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE - I would teach them the meaning of morality the HARD WAY. I say the HARD WAY, because in our society - GOODNESS - MORALITY does not generally apply - so if people cannot voluntarily behave well - then there is a sanction - FEAR! I remember a conversation with my late father availing myself of his experience I asked him what he thought the greatest motivator of human beings was (we were talking of the masses) - he said FEAR! Ultimately the STICK AND THE CARROT! So old fashioned (unless that is you call the Roman Empire old fashioned or the British Empire old fashioned - they knew the truth of human behaviour). But effective. In the 1960s we had hoped that the bright future where people were more educated and more motivated to be creative would come about with enough resources spent on education. But no...it is not enough as people from ALL LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE AND BACKGROUND continue to behave selfishly - incompetently and fraudulently. THE CARROT AND THE STICK I WOULD SAY.
