Topic: - THE IMPORTANCE OF DA’AWA {CALL, INVITATION, CALLING PEOPLE TO GOD OR TO ISLAM OR RELIGION} OF SAYEED IBRAHIM YAQUB AL-ZAKZAKY TO THE YOUTH. 1.1 Introduction:- Whenever we mention leadership in every aspect whether secular or sacred, we all know that it is a very difficult task. All people can lead but not everyone is a leader. We all know that for almost four decades now, Sheik Ibrahim yaqub al-zakzaky has led a leadership style that is not only applicable to the sacred but also to the secular system, that if such traits are properly applied, we will have a stable, harmonious and peaceful nation. Hi blessed and successful leadership style is seen in his well organized powerful and wrong leadership in the Islamic movement of Nigeria. His able and wise leadership has made the millions of shi’it Muslims to be the most organized, unified, disciplined, well behaved, committed, dedicated and sacrificial in every aspect. All these and many more are as a result of God given leadership and a faithful leadership that is worth emulation by all and sundry. 1.2 The Call Return To Faith If I am not wrong before God but wrong before men I am liable to their criticism and I am ok with that, But you should permit me to address this exemplary scholar, an inspirational, spiritual and powerful leader of the Islamic movement of west Africa, the ‘’Ayatollah of Africa’’. I call him a leader of all time and a timely leader of all times chose by God for his people. He the Ayatollah of Africa was called by God to call mankind to return to true faith and this has been his life and sacrificial leadership in Shi’it Islamic Movement of Nigeria. It was this unique kind of true leadership by the able leader that the shi’it population has drastically increased over two decades ago. It is because of this blessed kind of spiritual leadership that shi’it Islamic movement Of Nigeria has gone in to hamlets, villages, towns, cities and difference countries in West Africa and had their successful da’awah. In fact, there are areas that other Muslims sects ware unable to break the power of polytheism but shi’it Islamic Movement Was able to. If he were a weak leader, such successes or breakthroughs would not have been possible. Through his able leadership many Muslims have return to the true practice of true Islam which has even affected the lives of none=Muslims and some has converted to Islam. This is a clear indication of his call and he has been fulfilling this call by called others to Islam and U=turn back to the true faith of Islam His call to both Muslims and Non Muslims to accept Islam and return to true Islam has been misunderstood, therefore, persecution is was he has suffered till date But as a courageous and faithful leader, that served as a source of inspiration to him. 1.3The Vicegerency of man The vicegerency of man is that doctrine that all Abraham faiths e.g. Judaism, Christianity and Islam emphasized most, for every man to know why they are here on earth. The basic of his emphasized teaching on the vicegerency of man is rooted in the Qur’an {2:30}. Since the vicegerency of man is Qur’an, then there is a need for every man to know the reason and purpose for his existence on earth. And his eminence and the Ayatollah of Africa, sheik Ibrahim Yaqub Al-Zakzaky is one and unique person that has not only preached but is preaching and taught and is still teaching men and women about this subject. He has emphasized that everyone must know the importance of man’s vicegerency in the world and if they do not realized this truth; they cannot serve God in the right path successfully. His Eminence, the Ayatollah of Africa has and is still making this known to man with clarity and proper direction through the Qur’an teaching on this subject. If all men will know this subject very well by obeying God, then the earth and men’s problems will be reduced to a minimal level for men and women to serve God faithfully. This is the possible secret of the success of all member of the shi’it Islamic Movement In Nigeria because of the Expository messages of His eminence the Ayatollah of Africa: sheik Ibrahim yaqub el-Zakzaky. 1.4 His Call To Social Justice This is one aspects of God’s call in the life of His Eminence the Ayatollah of Africa that not only non-Muslims misunderstood but some Muslims themselves. This misunderstanding of his call to social justice for all, whether Muslims or non-Muslims has led Many Muslims and non Muslims in the time past and present to label him an extremist, radicalism or an enemy of peace: But the reverse has so called names are today in public or privately crawling with knees, asking him for forgiveness. This is a sign of victory of a true leader and a chose servant of God This great leader and a gifted leader believer in justice and because of his belief in it, he has fought for it and won. He has not stopped but is still on, through true Qur’an teaching and da’awah. His Eminence has in time immemorial confronted great tyrants or dictators and almost all of them fall before him. Some of them are still alive today while some have died. He has fought for the cause of both Muslims and non-Muslims and if we will invite some of them, they will not only come but will testify fearlessly. He has taught coward and today they are courageous men and women. In all level of life his eminence has done everything’s to see social justice everywhere. He has fought for it locally and internationally through words, writings, etc. He has stood before rulers and leader fearlessly and fought and fought for the oppressed, orphans, widows, the needy, etc. In 1995, there was a peaceful demonstration against the military regime of General Sani Abacha on Hajj issues which I witnessed here in Kaduna from NEPA round about to Katsina road round about. Because of his passion for social justice I can only ask him thus: - Oh! You Ayatollah of Africa. How many times have you been to prison? Because of social justice he risked his life and family and with all kind of threat, he never gives up and that gave him a reason to rejoice today. My brother and sister God has and is still using him up till date that is why we are seated here. And he is the right person for our gatherings like this and without God using him; I may know you to present this program. 1.5 He Wants You to Know Why you are Here’s The fact both Muslims and non-Muslims might have labeled him as enemy of peace has been prove wrong because most of them had and are still trooping in to his eminence to sincerely apologize for what they had done and said against him. But we need to know all that he was doing by educating and fighting every man is to know why he is here and his right from the family level, governmental level and religion level. If all people will know why they are here on earth and their right everywhere then there will be fair play and social justice in all ramification of human life. By knowing why you are here and you’re right here on earth you will practice your religion rightly and properly whether you are a Christian, Muslim, traditionalists, etc. knowing your right is a ticket to enjoy economical, social, political, environment, health, education, security benefited, Etc. All these and many other things his eminence has taught and fought his life. If you know your right you will not only appreciate him but you will only join the team. He has successfully gain local and international fame for this cause. He his calling all Muslims and non-Muslims without partiality to know there right and why they are here. No addition no subtraction. 1.6 What distinguished Him as a Leader and His Successes? We can’t really enumerate the successes of this great, successful, inspirational, spiritual and victorious leader whether locally or internationally. From His student life, he has influenced the lives of Muslims and non-Muslims positively that he was the center of attraction to both Muslims and no-Muslims. He stood for them and fight for their right successfully and victoriously. He has inspired people in almost every aspect of their life. Spiritually he has guided many to their part of God. Some people are successful in all walks of life today because of him. Then what should we say to God for creating him and calling to this noble task. We ought to say “Thank You Allah”. May our leader live long and accomplish the good work he has started.
