THIS SUNDAY MORNING@6:30AM., ON KDKA-TVS THE SUNDAY BUSINESS PAGE WITH KDKA-TV MONEY & POLITICS EDITOR, JON DELANO: This Sunday morning, well take a look at a new initiative from the Pittsburgh Foundation -- to recruit the best and brightest, to fill jobs in the new mayor of Pittsburghs administration, next year. Whats different about this? Foundations have provided funding to help with a national search and to encourage qualified and talented applicants from outside the usual places, to become part of city government. Will it work? Whos supporting it? Well ask Grant Oliphant, President & CEO of the Pittsburgh Foundation. Then, the President and CEO of PNC Bank Pittsburgh -- Sy Holzer -- and Lisa Scales -- CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank -- join us, to kick off this years KDKA-TV Turkey Fund drive. The need -- this year -- is even greater than before -- and well explain why -- and tell you how you can help provide a turkey dinner for a deserving family in our area. By the way, if you donate $50.00 by stopping into any PNC branch -- whether or not you are their customer, PNC will match your donation to the KDKA-TV Turkey Fund -- begun by the late, legendary commentator, Al Julius, and continued by Wayne Van Dine and the late Yvonne Zanos. The tradition is being carried on by KDKA-TV Morning News anchors Jennifer Antkowiak and Rick Dayton, and meteorologist Dennis Bowman, through his school visits, all year long. Finally, a wrap-up on the great success of the 40-foot inflatable duck -- part of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trusts Festival of Firsts, which graced our rivers, until its departure, last Monday. Shaunda Miles, Director of Public Relations for the Trust, has some amazing figures on how the ducks visit boosted Pittsburghs local economy. Please join Jon Delano -- Sunday morning@6:30AM., on KDKA-TV, for The Sunday Business Page.
