THIS WAS THE BEST THING EVER TO HAPPEN TO ME AND IM SO GLAD MY FRIEND SENT IT TO ME, IT WAS A GOOD LAUGH! TBT It was Oct 1988. My best friend Cat had a friend was getting married in Wisc. Limited $s and the fact that Cat Smith hates to fly we decided to drive from FL to Wisc. We packed her Towne Car and got on the road singing George Michaels Father Figure on the top of our lungs. The truckers saw we had a CB radio and tried to talk to us but we were too chicken to talk back. They assumed we had a receiver only, so they would ask us questions and we would make hand gestures for the answers. (Raise your right hand if you are going as far as Atlanta etc.) We were known as the 2 ladies in the Brown Towne Car from FL. The truckers passed us off from one to another (Ladies you are clear to mile marker xx can somebody pick them up from there). If we stopped for a potty break, we would get back in the car, and someone would be asking for a call back if they spotted the 2 ladies in the Brown Towne Car from FL and sure enough someone would answer back. We made it to Wisc in record time (with stops in Atlanta and Hobart). We had a blast and never once spoke a word on the CB. Cat really wanted a deer head over her fireplace (this one was at Mom Forneys) but the closest thing we could find on our budget on our way back home was a deer butt! I wouldnt let her buy it! We did find a huge pumpkin.... That she had to have! That was a trip we will never forget and still laugh about today. Cat remember the last trucker?????
