THIS WEEKS NEW RELEASES! Wow, there is a lot of new releases, special showing and events this week, so without further ado.... Penguins of Madagascar - our flippered friends have their own show as they go undercover to take on the evil Dr Octavious Brine in Dreamworks latest animation spectacular The Pyramid - An insidious creature hunts a team of archaeologists that discover a lost pyramid. No use crying for mummy here! Black Sea stars Jude Law in this dark thriller about a Submarine Captain taking on a highly suspect and dangerous expedition. Men, Women and Children is directed by and written by the man behind Juno and Up in the air, Jason Reitman.The movie explores the way the internet has changed the lives of parents and children and their relationships Get Santa is a heartwarming and hilarious family film starring Warwick Davis and Jim Broadbent in a movie where father and son must help save Santa from the police and in doing so save Christmas! The Grandmaster tells the story of Ip Man, the Kung Fu master who trained the legendary Bruce Lee. Stunningly shot, this one is for lovers of filmography, choreography, action and martial arts. St Vincent stars Bill Murray....Oh sorry, you need more....Also starring Melissa McCarthy this comedy looks at the relationship a boy develops with the miserbale old war veteran next door when his parents marriage falls apart As well as these great new films we have a few oldies brought back ironically for our younger audience. On Sunday we will be holding another Frozen Sing-a-long due to the massive popularity of last weeks, Walking with Dinosaurs is our Movies for Juniors, also on this Sunday at 10am and all day Monday we are reshowing The Polar Express in 3D! For lovers of live events, this Sunday at 5.30pm we will be broadcasting Dick Whittington live form the Bristol Hippodrome. This one off spectacular stars Ashleigh and Pudsey as well as Ben Faulds and Brenda Edwards. On Tuesday at 8pm JOHN will broadcast live from the National Theatre. This powerful new verbatim work by DV8 Physical Theatre follows the extraordinary life story of one man. John -After years of crime, drug use and struggling to survive, John’s desire for a new life leads him to a place unknown by most. Based on frank interviews conducted by DV8’s Artistic Director, Lloyd Newson, JOHN combines spoken word with movement to create a touching and poignant theatrical experience. We also have another performance of The Crucible with Richard Armitage this Sunday at 4pm, filmed earlier this year at The Old Vic. Have a great viewing week everyone!
