THIS WEEKS PIYO FITNESS CHALLENGE Starts Monday 10/20 and ends Sunday 10/26. This weeks fitness challenge is to do the below 25 minute PiYo video demonstration at least 3 times this week. PiYo combines Pilates- and yoga-inspired moves, all set to a faster pace, so you get your strength, flexibility, and cardio all in one workout. PiYo delivers the long, lean muscles and flat, toned abs of Pilates, a firm butt and strong arms like youd get from yoga, and the weight-loss benefits of fat-burning cardio. Focus on eating clean. Whats eating clean? Eating clean means eating lean proteins, complex carbohydrates (whole grains), fresh fruits, and veggies. Clean foods are foods in which the ingredients can be purchased separately and used for cooking. If you can’t pronounce it (“Trimegadi…whaaa?), don’t know what it is (“Natural flavors, huh. From… what exactly?”), can’t buy it in a store (“Oh, you’re looking for disodium guanylate? Aisle 3.”), wouldn’t stock your cupboards with it (“Hey there, neighbor. I ran out of methylcellulose. Could you spare a tablespoon or two?”), you might want to reconsider eating it. (Credit to Why I Hate the “5-Ingredient Rule” Written on April 19, 2013 by ButterBeliever in Making it Easier) Suggestions: Eat three meals and two to three small snacks a day. This will keep your body energized and burning calories efficiently all day long. Add fruit and veggies to your protein shakes. Explore and visit your local farmers market to see whats in season. Browse through Pinterest and other internet sites for healthy low carb recipes. Learn about portion sizes and work towards eating within them. Take today to do your grocery shopping and plan your meals out. Dont forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, half of your body weight in ounces of water!
