THIS is Connie (or racing name Kardinia Star). Connies foaling date 1 Sept 1990, she had 30 starts in her short career, which resulted in 2 wins and 3 thirds. Her prize money was $3,845. Not good enough to keep racing though and she was one of the lucky ones that didnt end up at the doggers. Instead she has reached the ripe old age of 24 years (according to Harness Racing Australias records though, shes deceased) and currently being cared for at the BAWCS shelter. Connie came in underweight and with a skin irritation in June this year. She seemed depressed but of course always looked forward to feed time. She soon became a favourite with the volunteers because of her gentleness and calmness, and now that she is in great health, she is being assessed by our trainer Valence Williams from Gamblers Run for more details for her adoption profile.
