THIS is how they use the information they gather unconstitutionally through illegal search and seizure of our personal data and phone calls. These are the "terrorists" the NSA PRISM program is used to fight. Ecuadorian activists that successfully won a lawsuit against Chevron for dumping oil in the Amazon. Chevron was charged 18.2 billion dollars in the lawsuit. Now Chevron has demanded from the courts- and been granted- the personal information belonging to 100 activists involved in the lawsuit that brought the oil giant partially to justice (or at least made a statement that we wont put up with it). Why does Chevron want this information? To put together a counter lawsuit against the activists, claiming Chevron was the victim of a "liberal conspiracy". Things like this exemplify the ways they are already abusing surveillance powers.
