THIS is what we should have had instead of the ACA. And we could have had it if the President hadnt wanted to get Republican support for the ACA. The President took a Republican idea from the Heritage Foundation, negotiated in good faith with the Republicans in Congress, and we got the ACA. No Republican supported it, even though they negotiated for well over a year on it. We know now that the Republicans had no intention of supporting ANYTHING the President proposed. So every time you find a problem with the ACA, think back on what we could have had if the President had just rammed it through Congress in the first two years of his Presidency.
