THIS is whats going on in our neighborhoods! This is why I am in your faces with my posts about child abuse awareness and prevention. I organized Project Chance - Creating Hope for Abused and Neglected Children Everywhere - to help prevent murders like this from happening. To educate you, THE PUBLIC, on ways to report abuse if you see it or suspect it, NOT TO IGNORE IT AND WALK AWAY! Two year old Peyton Graham was killed yesterday at the hands of her biological father in Northeast El Paso. Why? Because she soiled her diaper. He beat her with a belt in her bedroom until she went limp. Meanwhile, her uncle walked away and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to protect his 2 YEAR OLD niece. NOTHING!! A 2 year old isnt going to soil her diaper to get you upset. A 2 year old needs your guidance - your patience. So heartbreaking and senseless. How anyone can just stand there and ignore a childs agonizing screams is beyond me. I would give my life for ANY child - mine, yours, ANYONES. Why? Because that child cannot protect themselves from their abusers or call for help. Potty training is one of the leading causes of child abuse. Ill be the first to admit that transition periods in a childs life, like potty training or starting school, can be challenging, but that does not give you the right to release your frustrations on your children. There are resources available for those who have anger management issues. Violence is never the answer! EVER! If you are too afraid to intervene, call 911. Whatever you do, dont stand silent - DO SOMETHING! Rest in paradise my sweet angel. We will fight the hard fight in your memory baby girl. Im so sorry that you were failed by those who were meant to protect you from the evils of this world.
