THOUGHT FOR NOW- Marcus Aurelius, Soldier, (121- 180) said, Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. I was always told that happiness was an inside job and that I had to look within to find my happiness. I was afraid to look within because I knew based on my early teaching that some of the things I had done were going to send me to hell for eternity. I figured that the things outside of me which were the things of this world such as wealth, power, prestige and women could make me happy and I didnt need to think about what was on the inside of me. I discovered that the things of this world are only temporary no matter what they are and as a result I was all by myself. When I was told that I had to make a moral inventory of me I resisted but finally gave in because the only other choice was to go on to the bitter end. What was really mind blowing when I discussed them with another person I became willing to let a God that I did not understand take them lock, stock and barrel and released them to him, he did. I began to find peace, serenity and happiness from within. I still have to keep trying to improve my life on a daily basis. If I dont then I will start stinking just as if I hadnt had a bath in a week or two- THINK ABOUT IT
