THOUGHT FOR THE DAY ... Does your work environment have written policies which are not being reinforced and are ignored by most employees, including your supervisor? For example, a policy may state that you may not read anything else but your manuals when on the jump seat, yet everyone still reads their favorite things. Or maybe policy states only company materials may be posted on break room bulletin boards, but everyone is posting things of their own interests. God tells us to avoid all appearances of evil, whether it is done in a subtle way, like ignoring policy, or in a deliberate and defying manner. Wrong or sin often starts as a seed that becomes embedded in our heart, and we all know what seeds do once they are planted…they grow to something bigger! Also, be aware when you disregard company policy, it could be used by others, who don’t like you or what you stand for, to accuse or shame you and your faith.(PMC) God’s instruction is simple and insightful: Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good (right); abstain from every form of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).
