THOUGHT FOR TODAY...........NATIONAL CURMUDGEONS DAY.........Yah it is, so what? :-( This is one of those holidays most people find hard to believe is real. Theres no need to worry, though, because you dont have to be grumpy to celebrate it. There are many schools of thought regarding Curmudgeons Day. Some say its a holiday where youre supposed to stay home all day and do nothing. Others, though, see it as a day when you are permitted to be as miserable and grouchy as you like. In fact, they consider it a day when grumpiness should be celebrated. If youre not feeling too ill-tempered, though, you can still celebrate Curmudgeons Day, and have fun while doing it. Here are three suggestions on how to celebrate. 1. Spread the cheer and make a curmudgeon you know laugh.... 2. Watch a film featuring curmudgeons such as Grumpy Old Men..... 3. Take a few moments to appreciate your life and why you really shouldnt be grumpy. And if you sincerely like being a grumpy old curmudgeon, you might enjoy watching Ebeneezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.........Bah Humbug!!! Or, if you know someone who fits this description, you can jokingly make their day a little more miserable by playing telephone pranks on them. Or have your friends call them and ask, Is Johnny there? After you have them make 6-7 calls, YOU call them and say, Hi, this is Johnny, have there been any calls for me?............Grumble, grumble. Oh yah, well stick that in your Funk and Wagnalls........................Info credit to Chases Calendar, where theres a holiday, everyday. Gee, do I get a present?
