THOUGHT OF THE MOMENT: Did praising, thanksgiving and encouraging get Jesus killed? Or, did telling people that what they’re doing is not pleasing to God and His solution is not what they’re wanting to do? No one had a problem with Jesus as long as He talked about praising God and God is good. The people crucified Him for telling them how they ought to live, not how they ought to praise. He was killed for telling them how they ought to live, not because they were mean and bad people. Just focusing on the praising of God and not on how YOU YOURSELF ought to live holy unto the Lord is betraying Jesus with a kiss. The beautiful thing is that God’s mercy is giving us a space to correct this. But remember, it’s only a space.
