THOUGHTS: INSPIRATION SERIES By Moses Hightower * Praise is the laser light that pierces the darkness and points out the victory that is present. When we look at the pictures of the different telescopes such as the infrared and the x-ray, we see the brilliant and powerful stars and galaxies that are hidden in the darkness. God is in the midst of our sorrow and pain. He will never allow them to swallow us up. As we praise the power of his deliverance in the midst of what seems to paralyze us, we turn on an energy that releases the demonstration of his might that will be seen by all the principalities and powers. Our thanksgiving terrifies hell and tears apart the very atmosphere of fear that fills the devils kingdom. We are not fear-driven but faith-driven. Our worship is not diminished by the darkness we declare in the present of what is coming forth from where we cannot see. God will bring to nothing the darkness by the light that is not yet manifest. We are the priests of light that show forth the praises of him who called us out of the darkness into his marvelous light. * God spoke to us recently and said that as we praised and worshipped him with abandon, that he would release the oceans of miracles in the streams of the limited. When we worship and praise the Lord, the enemy is cast out and displaced by the one who is filling the empty place where the devil was. If God fills all things and the devil left when Jesus mentioned praising God only, then the one who inhabits our praise fills the darkness of the shadow that the devil tried to create with the light of deliverance. Praise always went before the armies of the Lord in the Old Testament. Now in the New Testament times the praise of our mouth releases the host of heaven to drive out the enemy before us. As the Lord made a way through the sea, praise will loose the chariots of power for us to ride over the floods of our lives in our day. As we humble ourselves in praise, the Lord exalts us above every attack that comes at us. Our enemy cannot reach where he refuses to dwell. As we stand in the trenches of praise, the devil has to flee that atmosphere because it is toxic to his inflated pride. * Set your heart on God. Set your soul on him. Set them to seek him continually. Hunger and thirst after righteousness, and you will be filled with it. Do not allow the appetites of the flesh to rule in your life. The sufficiency of grace has abounded. Now humble yourself under the mighty hand of the Lord and experience satisfaction from the table of grace. A fresh motivation from his grace has arisen in you. This grace is authored by God, not by you. You have found grace that you did not ask for. His grace is sufficient in every way. It contains everything that you need. The Lord has introduced you to grace, the laborer. You have known it in a measure, but now you will know it in a greater measure. You cannot know this mighty laborer outside of God’s rest. Many are falling by unbelief because they do not labor to enter into his rest. You must labor to enter into his rest where you have ceased from your own works as God did from his. Arise and live the rest of your time in the flesh to the will of God, and not to the lusts of men. Arm yourself with the mind that was in Christ Jesus.
