THOUGHTS OF A 3L: Thanksgiving break is finally here! Im looking forward to spending time with family and friends and of course, eating some amazing food! Although we have an entire week off for Thanksgiving break, Ill spend much of my time studying for my three finals that Ill take when we come back. This week, I was in court again for the Juvenile Law Clinic. This time, I couldnt reach an agreement with the prosecutor, so we had a hearing in front of the judge. I presented my case by questioning my witness and then the judge made a decision and issued a corresponding order. Im grateful that Ive had several opportunities to conduct hearings as a law student! On another note, the legal fraternity Im involved in, Phi Alpha Delta, is doing one of Valparaiso Laws favorite annual events, Adopt a Family/Adopt a CASA Child. Each year, the Law School adopts local families and children and purchases holiday gifts for them. Its such a great way to get involved with the community, and I always look forward to participating! One final note, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the 3Ls that will be graduating in December! Today was their last day of law school classes!
