THREE MAJOR REVELATIONS ABOUT CHRIST Aside from being a Messiah, many Christians still havent come to understand the revelations of Christ. Unfortunately, to be ignorant of these revelations or truths about Christ is to be a Christian without an identity. To this end, I shall through the course of this topic unveil and elucidate to us from scriptures, three very important realities about Christ in a bid to enlighten our eyes of understanding and to boost our confidence in the One who has called us to glory and virtue. Theyre as follows: i. Christ as a Person: Jesus on a one particular day asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” Matthew 16:13-16 (NKJV). ii. Christ as a Place: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation... 2Cor.5:17 (NKJV). The emphasis in this verse of scripture is the word IN which connotes location. Now, when someone or something is in something else is enclosed or surrounded by it. So simply put in the right context, the above scripture connotes Therefore, if anyone is enclosed or surrounded by Christ, he is a new creation... having met the requirements for salvation - believing and confessing the Lordship of Jesus. Christ can be liked to an organization, so large and strong enough to accommodate and assure the safety (salvation) of as much people as possible. Now, when you find your place or better still locate your place here, you become completely lost in Him. He becomes the very essence of your life. Oh, little wonder Paul the Apostle voiced out saying In Him (Christ) we live, and move, and have our being... Acts 17:28 (KJV). In Col. 3:3-4, the Bible declares that For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God(AMP). This thus explains why Jesus had to passed it into law when he declared authoritatively to His disciples that ... nothing shall by any means hurt you Luke 10:19 (NKJV). Hallelujah! Christ is our life (Col.3:4) and this life is hid with Him in God vs 3. This explains also why we shouldnt be afraid of contacting whatever the disease (e.g, EBOLA) running rampage in our society and in the world today. Because weve become sickness, disease and death proof. No infirmity can get any close to us anymore. Were superior to them now. And so were not mindful of who to check hands with especially, with the case of EBOLA today. Were not conscious of the virus but rather, fully conscious of the fact that every fibre of our being has become inundated by the indestructible life of God. iii. Christ as an Anointing: You cant be an effective Christian without the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Even Jesus couldnt become the Christ (the anointed with its anointing) until the heavens were opened and the Spirit of God descended upon Him after His baptism by immersion by John the Baptist at River Jordan (Matt. 3:16). That was the day God made a public announcement of His Sonship And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased Matt. 3:17 (KJV). The Apostle Paul having fully convinced and conscious of the amazing effect of this revelation says I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency] - Phil.4:13 (AMP). By simple definition, an anointing is that divine empowerment or enablement from the Spirit of God in the life of a believer in Christ for an effective Christian living. This is the beauty of Christianity - a life of divine power from above. Now, as a Christian, if the reality of the fact that youve been anointed dawns on your spirit man and becomes your day to day consciousness and contemplation, theres no telling how effective, fruitful and productive youll be in your faith walk with God. Very importantly, as a carrier of this divine power, if by any chance someone with a terrible disease such as EBOLA made contact with you, a miracle will happen. That is, instead of you getting infected by the virus through an hand check, touching, sharing items etc, the person gets healed and completely made whole. Oh boy! I would to God that everyone of His kids have this knowledge as well as its consciousness! Im telling you of a truth, that person can never leave you the same. Perhaps, you dont know, Ill tell you today: Do you know that as a child of God on a daily basis as you meet and relate with people in your spheres of contact, you transmit spiritual elixir to them without you being conscious of such operation of the Holy Spirit? What a life! Were not ordinary people. Were just like Jesus (1 John 4:17). We too today are anointed of the Holy Ghost and with power and we go about doing good and healing all who are oppress by the devil, for God is with us (Acts 10:38). Praise God forever more. Were blessing lives everyday which sometimes we dont realize it. While were busy carrying out our day to day responsibilities, the greater One (the Holy Ghost) within us is busy also causing the anointing to ooze out of us to meet people needs that were not even aware of. Isnt that wonderful? This is the reason why Im eternally grateful to God that Im identified with the person of Christ, enclosed in Him and have His anointing. That makes me the SUPERMAN IN CHRIST - living a life free of worries, fears, sickness and disease, poverty, have dominion over the power of sin and the sting of death. Hallelujah! Glory be to His Name forever. Now tell me, are you glad youre identified with the person of Christ, enclosed in Him and have His anointing? I am and you should be too if youre a true Christian. For this is the guaranteed way to living and enjoying this Superlife in Christ that we share in this group. And my prayer to God for you this weekend is that the heavens will open for you and there shall be an overflowing of Gods blessings in your home so much so that you will have more than enough for your family and to bless others with in Jesus mighty Name.
