THREE TIMES A LADY --- ACTOR SPOTLIGHT ---- KELLITA SMITH KELLITA SMITH (Rose): Kellita Smith’s acting career spans two decades in theatre, television and film. She’s most recently recognized as Wanda Mac on the hit Fox Television series “THE BERNIE MAC SHOW’, where she’s earned three NAACP Image Award nominations for Best Actress in a comedy series. In addition, the show has garnered several awards and nominations, including an Emmy, Peabody Award, and a twice recipient of both the Golden Satellite Award, and the Humanities Award. She is currently starring in a syndicated show produced by Byron Allen/Ent. Studios called “THE FIRST FAMILY”. She stars as The First Lady Katherine, which earned her yet another NAACP Image Award nomination for ‘Best Actress in a Comedy Series’. Currently she stars as an action hero in the hit series on Syfy channel ZNation, playing the role of Roberta Warren. A celebrity in her own right, Kellita is well known for her endless television credits. She’s also had several recurring roles on networks like CBS, FOX, and Warner Bros. She has lent her talents to the film industry as well, working with production companies such as Mirimax, New Line, Searchlight, and Foxx 2000. It doesn’t stop there. The theatre community has affectionately coined her ‘Special K’ where she’s received prestigious awards for her many accomplishments in that realm.
