THREE youths arrested after a lengthy police pursuit from Lake Macquarie to Central Coast on Monday will be interviewed over a series of violent robberies across the Hunter. A police helicopter was used as numerous police cars chased an allegedly stolen car through Warners Bay and around a series of suburbs before the trio were taken into custody at Woy Woy. The youths were being taken back to Gosford police station where they will be questioned about the stolen car and the pursuit. Detectives are also keen to speak to them about a series of violent street robberies across the Hunter since Friday. Men walking alone had been targeted at Shortland, Waratah, Callaghan and Birmingham Gardens. All were threatened and at least three punched repeatedly by at least three men before they were ordered to hand over cash and mobile phones. More to come
