THROW BACK THURSDAY. This photo was taken in 2008 ... about 2 weeks before my health suddenly collapsed with severe #mcs #cfs #ehs. I look at this photo & think about a lot of things. Firstly, the fun day I was having with my gorgeous niece, Scarlett & my sister, Rebecca... (& my kitty cat, Bubba) But also, I cant help but think how I had absolutely no idea that the biggest challenge of my life was just around the corner ... I had absolutely no idea that illness was about to turn my world upside-down ...that I would be confined to one room for the next several years fighting for my #life & my future. I look at this photo and I just want to reach right in & hug my old self. Hold her tight. She has a rough road ahead of her, she is about to experience it all ...#fear, heartbreak, physical suffering, loneliness & loss ... shes about to be tested like never before. But with my arms around her, easing comfort into her soul, I will whisper this in her ear ... Amelia you are stronger and more #courageous than you realise right now. You will emerge from this greater, wiser and more determined than ever before. And you WILL #emerge from this.
