THRUWAY CLOSURE & RESTRICTIONS: Effective Monday, January 26th at 11:00 p.m.: The New York State Thruway will be closed to all traffic except emergency responders from exit 17 (Newburgh - Scranton - I-84 - NY Routes 17K & 300) to the New York City line, including I-287 Cross Westchester Expressway, I-95 New England Thruway, and the Garden State Connector. The following restrictions went into effect at 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 26th: Long tandem tractor trailers are banned on the Thruway (I-90) in both directions between exit 32 (Westmoreland – Rome) and exit 24 (Albany - Montreal - I-90 East - I-87 North) and on the Thruway (I-87) in both directions from exit 24 to the New York City line, including the Berkshire Connector between I-87 and the Massachusetts state line. Tractor trailers are banned on the Thruway (I-87), both directions, from exit 17 (Newburgh - Scranton - I-84 - NY Routes 17K & 300) to the New York City line, including I-287 Cross Westchester Expressway, I-95 New England Thruway and the Garden State Connector.
