THUMBS UP FOR KIDERO.. Bitter rivalry between Jakom and Nairobi Governor, Dr Evans Kidero, glared its ugly face again yesterday after the latter said he will not attend an ODM’s rally in Homa Bay next Thursday. In a statement to the press, Mr Kidero said he will not be available for the event slated for Thursday this week. “I acknowledge the request for my presence but I am not available. The huge responsibilities I have for the people of Nairobi cannot allow me to be away as there are critical duties and functions for Nairobi City County that we are attending to,” Kidero said. Jakom had initially invited Kidero to deliberate on who should succeed the late Homa Bay Senator, Nyakwar nyakwamba who died last month. But Kidero said his opinion and that of non-residents of Homa Bay are not necessary and certainly not needed.” Baba, who has been jobless for more than 19 months, is currently thou secretly engineering calls for him to run for the Homa Bay Senate seat that was left vacant after the death of veracious senator, Nyakwarnyakwamba last month.
