THURSDAY, 10/16/14 LETTERS. Romans 14:10-13 “Live THIS Way!” (By Barry) WORSHIP: Cool song. Made me think. And made me worship. https://youtube/watch?v=tp80oWtnJc0 SCRIPTURE: blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Rom&c=14&t=NLT#s=1060010 10 So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.’” 12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. 13 So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. —1. Is there a difference between judging and condemning? —2. If we see a Christian sinning, how do we know whether we should say something about it? —3. Did you notice that Paul is talking specifically in this passage about believers? How do we respond to sins of unbelievers? —4. What do you think it will be like when you give your “personal account” to God? —5. Paul concludes with a very serious (and mysterious?) thought: How exactly do I live my life so that I don’t “cause another believer to stumble and fall”? Does that change the way I view music I listen to, or movies I watch? Does it cause me to have a different perspective on my own speech? What are some other examples that you can think of? PRAYER: A.C.T.S. —A. God, I adore that You know everything about me. (Yikes!) —C. Father, I confess that I _______________________ —T. Thank you, Jesus, for ___________________ and _____________________________! —S. Father, I have something really big to ask You today. Will you please _____________________________ ?
