THURSDAY, 8TH JANUARY 2015 MORNING DEVOTION. POWER IN THE WORD PART 1 TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “Mark 12:24 “And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” Jesus Christ in the above scripture was speaking to the Sadducees about marriage and resurrection, and suddenly equated the scripture by revelation to the power of God thus. “... ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” Since Jesus is the way, the truth and the life therefore whatever comes out of His mouth is the way, the truth and life. Nothing can be more exciting than the knowledge that every scripture you know empowers your spirit, soul and body for unlimited wonders. Knowing the scripture makes you know the power of God! No wonder Hebrew 4;12 says “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” The word of God carries the power of God; in it is the very life of God. The integrity of the Godhead is embedded in the power of God’s word. Once you have contact with the word of God, you will be connected with the power of the most high. TODAY’S RESPONSE Study the word regularly and access the power therein for your unlimited wonders
