THURSDAY 8th AUGUST, 2013 NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL PST.HETTY For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek. Romans 1:16 When a thing is good it doesn’t bring shame along. The gospel account that Christ is the messiah to remit the sins of the world didn’t go down well with a sect in Israel then these persons were the Jews. They would rather accept any other thing than the profession that Christ who they concluded was an imposter the son of peasant carpenter is claiming to be equal in virtues with God; this was too much for them to bear. So they would rather put their trust in an uncertain God than in the messiah no wonder our lord Jesus said And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Matthew 13:57 For those who cherished and accept Christ as the messiah the scripture says their expectations will not be disappointed. But those who rejected him may in future find out they had taken the wrong route and may be too late. A person is born again by hearing the word of God and the Holy Spirit brings about conviction in their heart. Am not ashamed to align with Christ. Am not ashamed to profess my faith to everyone around. The best thing to happen to the earth is not the numerous inventions but the provision and discoveries we receive from the word of God especially the offer of salvation. PRAYER OF DECLARATION I have found as higher life, a glorious experience ahead of me. l am reigning in glory. The divine life of God is resident in me.
