THURSDAY, AUGUST 14 ONLY GOD CAN REVEAL GOD. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9). The experience of Christ is beyond those who are strangers to it. Unless God allowed it, we could never know Him. Only God can reveal Himself. Scholars deny His miracles and resurrection, reducing Jesus to their own eye-level. Human imagination is very limited, and cannot reach God. But Christians know the Jesus whose face is the glory of God! The experience of Christ is beyond those who are strangers to it. Eye hasnot seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the thingswhich God has prepared for them that love Him. Isaiah mocked those who tried to make images of their gods. A block of wood cannot become like the Creator of heaven and earth. Every attempt to portray God comes up against the depravity of the human mind. The gods of the Greeks and Romans were lustful and treacherous. Our only ideas come from the Bible, and only the Bible has the right to tell us how to get to heaven, or who will get there. The Bible itself describes it as a place where only those cleansed in the Blood of Jesus dare enter. If we turn elsewhere to know God, we feel depressed. The sacred writings of India, China, or Islam bring fear but little cheer. Open the Bible, and see wonderful light stream out! The more you understand that Book, the more your mind opens to its revelations, as flowers to the rising sun. The power that inspired it, designed your soul to receive it.
