THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20: - LANDMARK ARTS – TEXAS TECH SCHOOL OF ART JUROR’S TALK: KATHY WINDROW 5:30 PM JUROR : KATHY WINDROW, Director of the SMU-in-Oaxaca program and the SMU-in-Italy program and instructor in Theatre Design at SMU. Kathy Windrow earned a BFA in studio art, an MFA in drawing and painting, and an MA in art history at SMU. Her artwork includes landscapes and paintings based on the Popol Vuh; drawings and installations often explore themes in pre-Columbian religion, Mexican folk art, and Los Días de los Muertos. She serves as staff on two excavations in Italy: SMUs Etruscan site in Tuscany and a University of Texas project studying the Roman Villa of Poppea at Oplontis. She has been nominated for Piper Professor three times and received the EFC Excellence in Teaching Award in 2005, as well as NISOD awards in 2004 and 2005. depts.ttu.edu/art/
