>>>>>THURSDAY SERVICE UPDATE>>>>>>> Scripture: 1Corinthians 7:7, 20 and Ephesians 4:8 Message: I AM GIFTED!!! God is the commencement of ALL creation, nothing exists without God. The beauty that we see is because of God, everything exists inside Him. It is not a coincident that you are on Earth, every time you look in the mirror, you will see your reflection as that of God because you are created in His image. Our Father is a businessman and He never starts something that will die, he has a trans-generational mind in all of His creation, hence as Jesus was about to go to heaven, he prayed for his disciples and those to come (us) in {John 17} for strength to carry on with what He had started, that is His mandate [Luke 4:18]. There is a kind of tapping into God that when people see you they see the Jesus inside you; the disciple talked, dressed and walked like Jesus. You cannot represent a God you do not look or function like, hence Adam looked like God and functioned like God therefore he was given a mandate to represent Him and not the animals because they did not look like Him. God will not send you to represent Him if you do not look like Him. Peter, God cannot send you before you look like Him. You do not become a pastor because you were called to be one, but because you have now begun to carry the same vision with the church. Jesus sent the disciples because he had confidence in them, but not before He had empowered them with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost sat not only on men but on women also; He has no respect for gender. Peter was a gifted man and whenever he spoke the atmosphere would change, you need to identify a Peter and start hanging around him. Jesus gave gifts to man and not animals. Everything that God created is pregnant; therefore every man carries a gift inside them. For a gift to be materialized it needs a man to expose it, hence Peter knew himself as a fisher of fish and Jesus came to tell him that he is a fisher of man. To Paul, preaching is a proper gift meaning that others might have improper gifts, [1Cor 5:7] he began by saying how he desired all could be like him but he understood that everyone has a gift that the Lord has given them. Everybody wants to be like Paul whereas everyone has their own gift. The problem is that everybody is now trying to do what Paul is doing; you need to discover the gift of God inside you. People think because they are not as gifted as Paul then they are not gifted at all, God gave different gifts to everyone hence to others he gave the gift of preaching, others the gift of singing etc. The problem with the child of God is that God did not use a handbag to put your gift inside rather he used you as the handbag for the gift you are not a useless somebody, you are a gifted someone. IN 2014, DISCOVER YOUR GIFTING!! Gifts are different, there are people that tend to forget that they are because of other people’s gifting: they forget that they gift came through other people’s gifting. We have two types of gifts, we have a natural gift which speaks of a person’s talent and we also have a spiritual gift which speaks of a spiritual gift. The thing about a gift is that you did not work for it but it was given to you freely, gifted folks need to remember that they did not work for their gift so the gift is not theirs but it is for the neighbor: your gift is supposed to service the next person and not you. People begin to manipulate and bully others at home, church and the workplace etc, because they are gifted forgetting that they did not work for that gift. It is not about you and if you want to know that people like you because of your gift, let God shut that gift and you will see that you are a useless nobody. God is a giver; he started by giving Adam the whole of creation and a wife. When Adam looks at Eve, he would see the gift that he had been given. In John 3:16 we hear of how God gave once again His only begotten Son for the salvation of the world therefore when Peter, John, James and the rest of the apostles see Jesus they needed to understand that they were seeing a gift. Gifts do not always come exposed but they come wrapped in a container, Jesus was a gift from God but he was wrapped inside a human body which shows that: THE GIFT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CONTAINER!!! The bible speaks of John as the most beloved disciple of Jesus and it even records a time when John was sleeping on the chest of Jesus and Peter asked who was to betray the Lord. When the time for Jesus to leave came, though he loved John he did not make him the leader over the church but rather he made Peter who betrayed him. john, you might be the one that sleeps on the Master’s chest but that does not mean the Master is going to let you lead his church. The Master loves you, John but He is going to let Peter be the shepherd over His flock. You need to understand that each man has a gift and they are not the same. In this world, some are born to lead and others are born to be led therefore it is not everybody that is going to be allowed to run the show. Find your gifting and excel in it, know your place because we are not the same. If you need satisfaction in your life then you need to find your gift. The problem is that people tend to think they have a gift because of the people they are connected to, JESUS WAS JESUS BEFORE HE MET THE DISCIPLES!!! REMEMBER [Jer 1:5 KJV*] “before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” You were gifted before you met your friends!! There are people who are crying because they do not know their gift, [2 Tim 1:6-7], Paul tells Timothy to stir up the gift of God inside him that he received through the laying on of hands. It is not God who is going to expose your gift; you need to stir it up yourself. Every time you were laid on hands or received a prophecy, you received a gift as well but your problem is that you have neglected the gift of God inside you and you have not taken the time to discover it; Paul warns Timothy once again in [1Tim 4:14KJV*] “neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.” Gifts are determined by a time zone, God knows that there will come a time wherein your gift will be needed in your family, church or community. People tend to think that their gifting is not as important as the next person’s. The prophetess Anna lost her husband after enjoying only seven years of her marriage because God knew there would come a time when she would have to be in the church daily to serve with prayer and fasting. Had her husband not died, she would not have been able to manifest her gift because at the time when God would need her at church, her husband would need her at home. We have blessing blockers and gifting revealers, some people or habits will block your blessing whilst others will reveal the gift of God inside you. Gifted as you are, you need to remember that a pregnant woman does not experience labor pains at three months but at the final stage of her pregnancy which is the ninth month, the reason why you are feeling pressure is because your gift is about to manifest. The gift of a man creates a path for him that is why your gift took you from the beer hall to church, you did not choose your path but your gift chose for you: A GIFT IS ZONE SENSITIVE!! What God has planted inside you begins to affect your perception and perspective; hence the friends you used to hang around with, you no longer hang around because you realized that your gifting does not go well with them. Do not become like someone else rather become like Christ. Your gift is zone sensitive and environment sensitive, pregnant people do not just eat everything nor just go everywhere. YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY; YOU HAVE THE GIFT OF GOD INSIDE YOU. If you will not release your gift, the world will not appreciate you because the world only rewards a gifted man. Every man has been given a doorway to sit with kings by God: YOUR GIFT!! Those who do not follow their gift will die in bitterness, anger and envy: there is no gift that will not expose your name. Your gift and calling is different from your neighbor’s and so is your capacity. We have many people who are distorting their gift by comparing it with others; God rewards you on how faithful you were in your gift and not on how you were comparing yourself to others!!
