THis Dave Shaws mates Encore Strat style guitar in for a setup. Whilst it is at the buget end it is quite resonant. The problem with the budget stuff is that they are rarely set up at the factory and the action is usually so high it is unplayable and the intonation way out, this was the case with this guitar. Setup involve cleaning and oiling fingerboard, dressing and polishing the frets, adjusting truss rod, setting action, setting intonation, setting pickup heights, general cleanup and polish and new strings ( 9s ) Overall it has turned out rather well and is now a good playable entry-level guitar.
