TIA: Graduate Programme 2014 Closing Date: 30 October 2013 Applications are invited from graduates interested in being considered for an opportunity to participate in the TIA Internship Programme: Graduates in the Science, Engineering and Technology Innovation (SETI) • FET students requiring In-Service Training(WIL) Purpose of the Internship is to: Provide workplace experience to graduates allowing them practical exposure to their academic training, enhancing employability • Provide additional skills development training that will stimulate innovation provide life skills and work readiness (Basic Business, Technical and Life Skills Training) through formal mentorship Reporting to the Line Manager/Mentor the Intern’s responsibilities will include amongst others to: assist and support research, administration and project management activities within the Industry/Business Units where they are placed. Requirements:South African citizens, with P1/P2 or M+1 Certificates, National Diploma, undergraduate and post-graduates in the following categories are eligible to apply candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply): ♠ Ref INT 101: P1/P2 (M+1) Certificates in the Science, Engineering and Technology Innovation (SETI) ♠ Ref INT 201 ♠ FET students requiring In-Service Training(WIL) in any field supporting innovation and technology projects ♠ Ref INT 301: Undergraduates and Post Graduates in the Science, Engineering and Technology Innovation. General Competencies: Good verbal, written and communication skills • Team player and self-starter and go-getter Term of the Internship: 12 to 18 months months for the Internship Programme ♠ 6 months for In Service Training (WIL) Remuneration: The Intern will be paid a monthly stipend ranging from R4000 to R7300 depending on the level of qualification. Placement: Successful applicants will be placed in various institutions throughout the country and should thus specify the province where they want to be placed. TIA does not pay relocation costs to appointed applicants who prefer to be placed at provinces away from the province of their residence.
