TIME OUT... I am so thankful for the fellowship and worship of Sunday! Also glad my Monday began in Romans chapters 6-8. Awesome stuff! I felt incredibly alive, grateful and energized by the Holy Spirit! Ever since, Ive been hearing the song Our God in the back of my mind. Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other. Our God is Healer, Awesome in Power, Our God! Our God! And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us. And if our God is with us, then what could stand against. Then what could stand against. It is seriously SO COOL that despite the fact my day has been consumed with all that has revolved around a car accident, the chorus just plays on. This is a regular ministry of the Holy Spirit to me, and Ill bet to many others as well. A fact I appreciate greatly, because as I have made and received multiple calls and taken seemingly endless notes, I find myself resenting the robbery of my time, energy and resources from what really matters by something that is so temporary (you already knew Im not perfect, right?) I have often thought, what we own also owns us. I am thankful to God for his protection and provision. I have seen His hand at work in this process. I realize its necessary. Even significant. Will work together for good and the glory of Gods Kingdom. But Ive already spent so much of my life on temporal stuff. Now, Id just rather focus on things of eternal value. Jesus could have owned anything in the world. Could have surely had a camel or two. Just seems to me the simpler we keep it, the less it requires of our time and devotion. On the other hand, Ive needed to exercise a good deal of patience and calm with all these folks today. And who knows? Maybe somewhere in this queue of people theres someone I can minister to. My need for balance beckoned me to take this brief time out. Now, back to the melee! Many blessings...
