Honesty, generosity, truth and understanding, maturity, and most of all, LOVE. The film by Lino Brocka talks about a young boy which he develops friendship with a leper and a village idiot. Now, the story tells about how we should act on not just in within ourselves, but also within the society as well. “Chismis” or even what we call as false witnesses arise every now and then. Let us prove to ourselves and to other people that we arent or we shouldnt let ourselves get fooled just by these. Let us remember the quote: “The true measure of a person is not what he or she does on sundays but rather, what he or she is from mondays to saturdays.” in short, let us be true to ourselves.
