TIP: Lawsuits are designed to make you WHOLE NOT RICH. There are very specific formulas that determine how much your case is worth and most employment cases have limits to the amount you can recover. Those caps are based on very objective factors, such as your base pay times how long you have been without work, and the number of individuals the company employs, regardless of how much or how long you suffered. If you are suing because you hope the settlement funds will allow you to retire, you will probably be very disappointed.
