TIPS DURING RAMDAN...8 Other health problems Constipation caused by refined foods, too little water and less fiber diet Remedy: Reduce refined foods, water intake, use bran & brown flour Indigestion and wind caused by fried, fatty, spicy foods, and foods that produce wind e.g. eggs, cabbage, lentils. Fizzy drinks also produce gas. Remedy: Do not over-eat, take fresh juices and water. Reduce fried foods Acidity caused by increase acid level in empty stomach. Spicy foods, coffee, fizzy drinks worsen the condition Remedy: Avoid acidity causing foods Lethargy/ Low Blood Pressure due to little fluids and salt intake. Remedy: Keep cool, fluids, salt intake (if hypertensive ask doctors) Muscle Cramps due to lack of calcium, potassium and magnesium Remedy: Vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat, dates
