TITLE: Officer Gary Ness’ Last Day with Public Safety Ashwaubenon, WI – After 34 years in Public Safety and the last 12+ years as the Ashwaubenon DARE/School Resource Officer; Gary Ness took his final ride in the fire truck to a cheering crowd at Cormier School. Public Safety Officers both current and retired, School Crossing Guards and family members met Gary at his house with a parade of Public Safety vehicles including Police cars, Fire trucks and an Ambulance in a tradition to give the last ride to the workplace. In this case, Officer Ness was brought to one of his current workplaces; Cormier Elementary School. There a cheering group of kids were holding signs and high –fiving Officer Ness as he made his way through the crowd. Officer Jackie Dunlap will be taking over the duties beginning in January. A final reception by the Village of Ashwaubenon for Officer Ness is being held at the Village board room at 2pm today.
