TJ Holmes, formerly of CNN and currently a contributing anchor at MSBNC, kept Saturdays gala rolling by serving as our Master of Ceremonies. The entire audience was wowed when he started speaking Kikongo, a Bantu language spoken by the Bakongo and Bandundu people in the DRC. TJs wife, Marilee was born in the DRC. And the wonderful Alonzo Mourning, VP of Players Programs and Development for the Miami Heat (and a friend of Dikembes from his Georgetown days), and Masai Ujiri, General Manager of the Toronto Raptors, were the event auctioneers - and did a GREAT job!
