TL;DR - Im graduating. Well, this is it. I gotta say that this undergrad experience is one of the most valuable experiences that I have ever had in my life. Ive never found myself so academically driven in any aspect. I have always heard that college is usually the force that makes people into very successful beings, but I never truly understood it. I entered this major only liking circuits because I forced myself to learn it after failing a circuits exam in my Honors Physics class. After that, I was so motivated to pursue circuits and figure myself out as an Electrical Engineer. I gotta say, I learned a lot more than I ever expected. This major isnt just about the knowledge. Its about the discipline. Honestly, all majors are like this, but for me, this major gave me the large kick in my ass that I needed to figure myself out. Sure, there are classes where Ive slacked and paid no attention, but there were also classes where I gave it my all, and did my best with everything that I possibly could. There are classes that Ive rocked so hard, and there are classes where I just wound up falling short and losing faith in myself. I gotta say, even with this semester, Ive gotten that feeling with some classes. But thats the point of this experience. If Im going to experience times where I fall short, I would rather it be in college than when I work. I have learned so much from my mistakes here. I remember not understanding what the big deal was when I was looking at the Ohms Law equation in ECE 110, and now, Im looking at over-complicated transistor circuits, and trying to stop myself for crying to sleep. Every time. (** IMPORTANT PARAGRAPH FOR THE LAZY **) At the end of the day, heres what I wound up getting out of this four years: A plan for my future, a passion for research in a field I love, a strong sense of work ethic and discipline, and some of the best friends that Ill have ever had in my life. Tomorrow, I walk with my brothers and sisters of the Class of 2014. The ones that I have trudged through the hard times, and celebrated with during the good times. Thanks to all of you that have been involved in my life during this time. And to those that are still going to be here when I come back for my Masters, I look forward to amplifying our friendships. :) Now, its time to sleep.
