TL:DR So I know 90% of the time when you see something performed on TV, it is prerecorded. It makes everything sound better because there are no mistakes, its easier for the sound guy to run only 3-4 inputs vs 25+ for a band, plus it allows artists to perform 250 days strait. Anyone can sound good in the studio, even me (and trust me, I am NO singer). One thing I am really proud of is the quality of performance Breckenwood has. Im not gonna tag him, but Garrett has a tremendous voice. Ive heard it numerous times, and he has like a 3 octave range or something like that, and it still impresses me sometimes. Ive also heard it crack, and strain from just using it for hours/days on end to the point where hes taken days off of talking and drinking tea like it is his job, so we can go on and play another show as best as we can. This is what I love and respect in an artist, and I love hearing mistakes. Its real, and as humans we make mistakes. If you ever watch me for a full 30 minutes, I make a bunch of mistakes, and instead of playing it cool, I always laugh, and look at Tony, waiting for him to judge me, because most of the time, no one else notices. If you see me smiling on stage, I probably just messed up, unless my eyes are closed, which is me in the zone only fellow artists understand. Cam has been practicing drumming with only 1 stick, because he drops them all the time, and its to the point I rarely even notice anymore, and I only listen to drums, bass and vocals on stage .As the one that books the tours, I like leaving a day off every week, despite wishing we could go hard every night, just because we all need the RnR day to recharge, do instrument repairs (my shit breaks all the time). I like that at our very basic level, we are still able to give a solid live performance, and in practice, we take the time to run through everything, and stop and go over tiny little things, so insure that our show is as good as it possibly can, so the next show can be better than the last. The thing about local bands that impresses me (and sometimes makes me wanna pull the plus) is that it is 100% real, for better or worse. The thing I like most about our newest record is that it is real. Rob did a phenomenal job, and I feel like it captures our live sound. We recorded the whole song, and didnt copy and paste choruses, and most importantly, the vocals are juts as strong and emotional as they are live, and I want to make sure we are set up where our show will stay that way forever, 100% authentic. I dont know how true/false this video is, but it does show how fake the industry can be. https://youtube/watch?v=e51_hSuKZKA
