TM20140220 TODAYS MESSAGE Oluwamuyiwa Okuseinde : He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day (John 12:48). Todays scripture verse shows plainly that a refusal of God’s word is a rejection of God Himself. When you reject the word of God, you frustrate the plan of God for your life and the lives of so many other people whose destinies are connected to yours. This is a very serious matter. Every word of God you encounter shall judge you. If your encounter with the word is accompanied by your obedience, you will receive a blessing. But if you disregard and disobey the word, you will be guilty of doing wickedly against Gods covenant. Such a person will not escape judgment and punishment. If you do not allow the word of God to draw you close to God through your obedience, that same word will eternally separate you from God through your disobedience. Many times, we fail to realise that the word of God is a person - the Lord Jesus, the very God Himself. You should be familiar with the scripture verse that says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). And again, another verse says, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). So when you despise the word of God, you have not merely despised letters and prints, but you have despised God Himself. Nobody, I repeat, nobody does that and goes guiltless. I therefore challenge you to honour the word of God. Venerate the Holy Scriptures because they are the visible fingerprints of the invisible God. Obey Gods word with passion, realising that they are not incidental admonitions that randomly find their way into peoples lives. Always remember that Gods word in whatever form it comes, either as doctrine, reproof, prophecy, correction, or instruction are specifically sent by God to targeted audience (Psalms 107:20). ~ FURTHER BIBLE READING - PSALMS 19:1-14; REVELATION 19:1-21. ~ Exercises. 1.
