TMC 2014 Today, I had set myself a goal of 55 minutes or less....the course, I felt was a bit harder this year, not obstacle wise, though there were 17 obstacles, but terrain wise...it was brutal...when I crossed the finish line at 1:06, I was so frustrated with myself, thinking, UGH!! I just blew that!! Only to learn, that the course, was in fact, 1 MILE longer than last years, 4.1 miles!!! I immediately felt a great deal better, and at the end of the day, I came in 76th overall, and 21st in my age group which is 40+ over, that is out of 3500 competitors...guess I shouldnt have been so hard on myself. A big shout out to all the Peeps that took part in todays event, you KICKED BUTT!! and to Priscilla and Peter for coming to cheer us all on and take all the pics for us today! MIKA Fit Represented!! Also want to send a HUGE Congratulations to Bode Markham, he tackled the Kids TMC today for the 1st time, at age 8!! He was a true athlete, and had the best attitude before, during, and after the race! Im very proud of you bud! First thing he said to his Mom Lacy Markham was Mom, can I do it again next year??? The day ended with a Dinner date with my girl child. :-)
